Last Tuesday, students were excited that it was both Taco Tuesday for hot lunch and that it was also gym day. This excitement was the start of an idea for our blog. The DND 2nd graders had the idea to survey the students about what they most enjoy eating for school lunches. Students at Whittier have several lunch options. They can choose to buy a hot lunch, order a wrap (a type of sandwich rolled in a tortilla) or salad, bring a cold lunch, or go home for lunch. We surveyed their favorites for hot lunch, cold lunch (which means you bring your lunch from home), and their favorite lunchtime drinks.
Hot lunch top vote getters were: 1. Pizza Dippers, 2. Pizza, 3. Tacos, 4. French Toast Sticks, and 5. Chicken Nuggets.
Cold lunch top vote getters were: 1. Sandwiches (all sorts including PBJ/Peanut Butter & Jelly, ham & cheese, sunbutter, salami, cheese) , 2.Mac & Cheese, 3. Ravioli ,4. String Cheese & crackers 5. Miscellaneous Favorites-Pancakes, rice, lemon pasta, cookies. Students bring their cold lunches in lunch boxes and put them into classroom tubs to carry back and forth to the lunchroom.
Drinks top votes went to: 1. Chocolate Milk, 2. White Milk, 3. Juice Boxes, 4. Water
We are excited to know what our lunch trends are and even more excited about
the possibility of learning what other children around the globe eat for lunch.
Please comment and let us know what you are eating for school lunches in other parts of the world.
Other interesting things about our school lunchroom is that the Whittier Green Team has worked hard to reduce the waste we create each day during lunch. Students sort all of their waste. We host waste-free lunch competitions and the class with the least waste wins the “Golden Lunchbox” to display in their classroom Students reduce waste in cold lunches from home by using reusable snack pouches and containers.
We use biodegradeable lunch trays.
We also compost lunch waste, collect leftover milk so the packaging can be recycled, and recycle other packaging.
Hi “Inside Scoop”,
At my school in Australia, though we can get lunch orders, (where you order your lunch online and get it at school) the majority of my class bring food from home. I usually have a variety of different food in my lunch box each day as Australia is a multicultural country. For example I can eat dumplings on monday, then have curry on tuesday, have a sandwich on wednesday, and so it continues. If I bring lunch from home I have it in a lunchbox, though some people have it in plastic bags. We have recess and lunch and I sometimes get a lunch order, for lunch but bring food from home.
Emme
Hi Emme I am exactly like you, maybe it’s because I go to the same school as you… Like you said, in Australia we have a multicultural society so we are lucky enough to be able to eat just about anything. I usually don’t get lunch orders, for me it’s pretty rare.
Georgie
Dear Georgie
Hi Georgie I’m from Hawaii and at my school I get home lunch my usual is curry or a sandwich
Sincerely
Keegan
In America, I usually have a salami or peanut butter and jelly sandwich. If I am super lucky, I may get pizza for lunch. I do not buy lunch, but rather bring it from home.
Hi Emme,
In the U.S, we have it about the same, people just eat whatever there is to eat. With lunches, it varies every day and I like that about lunch and food in general. Check out my blog, jeremyblye.edublogs.org
That is an interesting story. For lunch I usually eat an apple a bag of carrots and a protein bar.
I like it I eat mac-n-cheese a bar and some apple sauce but today I had some soup and ham 🙂
Hi “Inside Scoop”,
For lunch at school I usually have a sandwich, raspberry lemonade, a cheese stick and cherries. At our school we bring lunch from home.
Georgia
At my school we can pack our lunch from home and eat it in the cafeteria. Our we can have a lunch from schhol. We have diffrent lunches everyday. We eat hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza and much more. My favorite lunch we have at my school would have to be the nachos or the mexicn cheese sauce weith breadsticks which are really pretzels. We have everyday options to. These include salad, yogurt or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Hi DND Second Graders,
I like your survey ideas for hot lunches, cold lunches, and drinks. I am wondering what my seventh graders would choose in those categories. My bet would be Pick-Up-Stix for hot lunch! I usually bring the same items for lunch every day..a salad and water. Boring, I know. It seems as if I always want a treat after lunch, but I don’t usually pack one, and then I end up sneaking candy from our class treat box…Don’t tell my students!
By the way, if you are in Whittier, CA, I grew up over the hill from you in Hacienda Heights:)

Hi there,
My elementary school had a similar lunch program. They had tubs that we put our lunches in, and each week two kids would be assigned to bring the buckets the the cafeteria. We also had a Green Team and labeled bins. We didn’t have that many options for hot lunch. The options were limited each day, you basically got whatever was there. The only options that we got to choose from were sides, like apples and carrot sticks. Every now and then there would be a pizza day or a mac and cheese day, but those happened only once or twice a month. The options at whittier sound much more interesting with wide varieties.

Hey, Some of those foods are also some top picks at my school. Here are some of the things we have on the menu at Greenville in Ohio.

Hi, great post! I like how your school has a place where you can throw away food for compost.
It’s nice to see what you guys eat compared to what I eat I live in Ohio and we usually have pizza every Friday and it’s nice to compare
This is a very interesting post! In our school we have food like pizza, sandwich, pancakes, hot dogs, chicken, and many more. I just pack my lunch because I don’t like the school lunch. I really like how your school has the compost. Also I was wondering if you have strawberry milk at your school?
HI in my school lunch room we use reusable trays an we throw everything away. Here is the link to my lunch menu http://www.greenville.k12.oh.us/Downloads/11-2015%20K-8%20Lunch%20Menu.pdf
Hello, my name is Fiona.
I think that you have pretty interesting choices for hot/cold lunch.
In my school we usually have a variety of hot lunches, the most made are usually rice, pizza, pasta, vegetable mixes Etc.
The cooks usually make these cold lunches; (that are always an option) are ham cheese or tomato sandwiches, salad, cheese and crackers and lastly a small fruit salad.

I live in Indiana, United States and here we eat lots of different things. Our lunches range from hamburgers and fries to salads to yogurt with granola. The favorite food item here seems to be the pizza or the nachos we have every Wednesday. I hope to learn more about lunches around the world.
At my schools we have a lot of options as well but we can´t go home for lunch.
At my school we have kind of the same thing . We have a lot of choices to choose from. The only problem is that they don’t give you a lot of anything
Hi! Today for lunch my school had a choice of lasagna, a roll, popcorn chicken(its chicken that is in a ball), grilled chicken, and cutted up oranges.
Hi, We have popcorn chicken on the menu today. Our school has fresh fruit. We participated in the Great Apple Crunch. It was a Farm to School initiative for healthy and we all snacked on fresh apples of all kinds. Thanks for writing.
DND 2nd Graders 🙂
I have all sorts of things in my hot lunch from pizza to yogurt parfait
Wow! It is nice to know about other schools’ lunch variations. At my middle school and elementary school in California, we don’t get to go home for lunch, which I, after reading this, think we should. At my school, we do have great lunch choices which I occasionally buy if I do not pack one. Our options vary from Subway sandwiches, Pick-Up Stix orange chicken and rice, Fresh Brother’s pizza, salads, and more with fruits, veggies, and desserts. It was nice to see how other schools are different, so thank you!
~Kataeya
i eat a hole bunch of different verity’s for lunch but mainly Vegemite sandwiches.
Hi,
We don’t know anything about Vegemite. Our teacher is traveling to Sydney, Australia over our winter break. She is going to bring some back for us to try.
DND 2nd Graders
DND 2nd Graders,
Just a reminder about eating vegemite. Use a piece of toast or bread with a thin layer of butter or margarine, then add a THIN layer of vegemite. It is not like Nutella or jam or PBJ. You only need a thin layer.
When I travel to USA and visit schools, I also bring vegemite for the students to try. It is an acquired taste.
It’s really strong
I thought this post was really cool!
Thanks, We had a lot of fun doing this post. We have more planned. Check back again.
DND 2nd Graders
At my school we also have a lot of options for lunch.
Hot lunch- Pick up stix, orange chicken and noodles, fresh brothers pizza, corn dogs, and much more
Cold lunch- Subway sandwiches, salads, and much more
I like your post. It was a really great idea.

HI, We know the game Pick up Sticks but not the food. We notice many schools have this as a favorite lunch option. Please tell us more about Pick Up Sticks for lunch.
Thanks,
DND 2nd Graders
Hi kdruckmiller,
Pickup sticks is like a fast food Chinese restaurant with foods ranging from rice, to noodles, to orange chicken, to steak strips. It tastes very good but is not health due to how they process it.
Well, what I eat at Fort Wayne is different. Every two weeks we eat nachos. Other days we eat different kind of choices like today we get to eat from hamburgers to salads to peanut butter sandwiches. We only have about three choices like everyday. Most salads has spicy chicken while others are original. The other choice is that we choose from two different fruits and vegetables. Though other days I think all choices of food taste bad. Getting food you can get a straw to poke in the milk. The various of milks which are chocolate, white, and strawberry milks. I wish that I could taste the food you guys have. Here we don’t order we choose the food on the same day.
At my school in the U.S they give us choices of what we want. Usually there’s a hamburger, a corn dog and then the main choice that is different every day. Our lunches cost about $2.50 including the milk. We also have a shelf that has chips and rice crispy bars, but they are extra. There’s usually a salad bar that has lettuce or spinach. The salad bar also has all the fruit and vegetables that you can get. Overall they don’t give us a lot of food so I usually snack a lot when I get home.
At my school, we get a choice between 3 hot lunches, or a salad. Students could also bring a cold lunch. I always get one of the hot lunches and chocolate milk. We get a different type of salad, hot lunch selection each day!
Hello,
At my school we have Pick Up Stix, Cheeseburgers, Fresh Brother’s Pizza, Corn Dogs, Salad, and more! I enjoy our hot lunch, but it is a little expensive. If I get food at school, my favorite is the corn dogs.
At my school, lunches are served. Most people bring a packed lunch from home, but there are a handful of students who buy their meals from the cafeteria. Meals range from fast food restaurants such as Fresh Brothers (pizza) or Pick Up Stix (Chinese) to sandwiches. I typically don’t buy lunch but a few of my friends do.
Hi, it’s Grace!
I live in the United States and I usually have salads, sushi, or sandwiches for lunch.
Hi,
At my school in Australia we have to bring in our own lunches for school. I really enjoy making my own lunch and bringing it to school as it gives me the freedom to eat what I like. Usually for lunch I would have some healthy tuna and crackers with an apple. I rather like my lunch as it gives me a nice healthy balanced diet.

Hi, at my school in Senegal, I usually bring my food from school in plastic bags but sometimes I order from school.I order in the morning before school so that I don’t have to wait during lunch and like ordering different food like sandwiches, hamburgers and french fries on Friday. Most of my friends order food from school because we have plenty of options!
Hello Inside Scoops,
In my school the is a french fries Friday , so that is similar to Taco Tuesday . In my school you can order lunch, bring your own food or buy food at lunch. In elementary you can order the lunch for all of the week but in high school you have to order the food separately each day. At my school we can also order a wrap but there are other options like burgers, salads, sandwiches, french fries on Friday’s and hummus. Each morning you can look at the menu and see what you’d like to eat today. Then you write the name of the food, the date and your name on a envelope and put the money inside the envelope. At lunch somebody hands out envelopes and you get your envelope and give it to the person at the counter. Then they’ll give you your food and you can enjoy lunch!
– From a hungry Stella 🙂
Hey,
At my school we can bring our own lunch or order. There is many choices when you order lunch, like cheese burger, hamburgers, chicken nuggets, chicken wrap, ham wrap, tacos, salad and many others kind of food. The drink students drink the most is lemonade, because it’s hot in Senegal and also cause the lemonade taste great. But the water is still the best on really hot days especially after P.E. .
We at our school in Pennsylvania East Earl, we can get to pick from 2 hot lunches or a salad or we can pack a cold lunch {unless something in a thermos}. I really like my schools grilled cheese. They give us tomato soup with a pack of crackers to and fruit or vegtable.
We also eat, Mozzerala sticks, pizza, chicken fingers, hot dogs, ham & cheese on pretzal roll. Those are some of the things we eat at school for lunch.
Hi, this was a really good post. I really like how you included the top favorite choices. Some lunches we have at Blue Ball are Mickey’s Pizza, Mini Corn dogs, Max sticks, Hot ham and Cheese on Pretzel Roll and Chicken Nuggets. One of my favorite is Hot Ham and Cheese on a Pretzel Roll. If you could pick from these choices what would you pick to eat for lunch ? To answer go to my blog at blog.elanco.org/forre5yz
Hi,
at our school in Canada we can also get hot lunch, but we usually order it in from a restaurant somewhere in our city. Our options always depend on which restaurant they are ordering from.
Cailynne
At my school, I have never eaten school lunch. A typical day is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Some other things I have include chili, steak, and soup. I normally have a side of a snack and some apples and carrots.
In my school from Alberta ,Canada for are hot lunch .The place is planned and we get 4 things to choose from
Hi class,
Hello, my name is Gillian. I really like the idea of doing a class survey to find out who liked what foods, it really helped me to understand your writing. For our class lunches we have the chose to bring our own lunch or sometimes on Friday’s to have hot lunch. When I bring my own lunch I love to bring apple cinnamon oatmeal or greek-salad. When I get hot lunch my favorite thing to eat is pizza from Pizza 73 and a smoothies from Booster Juice.
What’s your favorite kind of salad?
https://www.psdblogs.ca/gillianw5253
Hi “Inside Scoop”
At my school we have a choice of PB&J, Salad, you could pack your lunch, or whatever they are making that day. What is your favorite lunch food? I pack my lunch. Here is the link to our lunch menu.

Hey DND Second Graders,
I really like your school’s idea for a survey. It is so creative. I would never have thought of some of the items on that list. At my school, we have a variety of menu items. We have Subway and cheese sticks. The students love the food. There is always a huge line to buy the food. We also have a snack bar where students can purchase slushies and other little treats. Overall, there are many choices when buying lunch at my school.
Becca
At the school I go to, we have many options for lunch. We can choose to have hot and cold lunches. Some of the food is from real restaurants, so it can be $5. We can also just buy salads or pizza made by the school for the same price. I always bring a lunch from home, since homemade food is the best! Your school seems to have a wide variety of great lunch choices. I wish we had all those great meals!
Hi DND,
Great post! I love the way you inserted images. For lunch I usually have a sandwich – or something like one, some fruit, some vegetables, a chocolate, a snack and some biscuits. At the canteen, there is a hot daily special, or you can get a cold food, such as a sandwich, focaccia or a wrap. You can also get little snacks at my canteen such as popcorn, Ice-blocks and Ice-creams, Jelly or frozen fruit.
Thanks,
-Elspeth

Hi krduckmiller,
At my school, they usually serve noodles, sandwiches, and some Hawaiian foods.
Sounds like a nice school,
Kyra
Hi,
At my school in Hawaii, we have different foods every day. We have American food like, pizza, cheese burgers, macaroni and cheese, and more. However we do have some Hawaiian food such as, kalua pig, teri burger, teri meat balls, and more. We have our hot lunches with milk or juice in the cafeteria. It was nice to know that you eat different types of foods then us. Thanks
At my schools in the US, we have something different every day. Like sometimes we might have pizza or chicken patty. We choose one and then we get some fruit, vegetables, or some chips. Sometimes we might get a cookie!
At my school, we don’t really have the fancy foods like Germany and France. We have chicken wraps and tacos. Or sometimes we have pizza and cheeseburgers. We have pasta bake with rolls also. We have fruits and vegetables with every meal and we get to choose from chocolate milk, white milk, strawberry milk, orange juice, or water. We are not allowed to purchase soda unless we bring it to school ourselves.
Hey there,
At my school, we basically eat the same as you! The lunches have no specific order, except for Pizza Wednesday. The pizza is quite delicious!
Hi DND 2nd Graders,
My name is Ashley and I am a 6th grader in Alberta, Canada. The probably most common lunch at my school is sandwiches. I think it’s because they take like 2 minutes to make and they’re also really good. My favourite sandwich to take to school is a margarine, honey and jam sandwich and my absolute favourite lunch is bagels. I love bagels because they don’t take me that long to finish, even though I’m a slow eater and because I love milk products such as, cream cheese and whipped cream. What are some of your favourite lunches?
-Ashley (http://www.psdblogs.ca/ashleyt7853/)
Hi, my name is Hunter and here is my comment on what I eat for lunch at school. I usually have leftover meals from home like chicken and rice, but if I forget my lunch I have meals from a restaurant. I like Harveys which has burgers, french fries and a drink. I eat snacks like cookies, juice, pepperoni and fruit like berries and cucumbers. My lunches aren’t very much like yours but most of my classmates are. They eat sandwiches made with tuna, ham and cheese or bologna. Our class cannot eat peanut butter sandwiches because we have students who are allergic to nuts. Here is a link to my blog if you would like to comment.

Hi,
This blog was great. I would choose tacos. But you give so many choices so it would be a hard one but great blog.

Hi class
I am doing a blog challenge and at Greystone Centennial Middle School, we don’t have food trays. We pack our lunches at home and bring them to school the next day. We don’t have a compost bin in our classroom. We just have 2 garbage bins and a recycling bin. We also ways bring cold lunches to school unless you bring 10 dollars to buy lunch at the canteen in our school. I usually bring some leftovers from last night supper for lunch and when I don’t, I usually bring oatmeal. My favorite food is perogies. Do you have a favorite food, if so what is it?
-Haylea
At my school we usually have different kinds of chicken on Mondays. We usually have Mexican food on Tuesday. We have pizza on Wednesday. We usually have different things every Thursday. Then we have hamburgers an Friday.
That sounds like a good list! I think that food is about the same as the food we eat in america, though. Still, I think that is pretty awesome!
Hi,
At my school I usually eat a sandwich for lunch and almost every Friday, a lunch order.
This is really cool. For lunch in California, we eat American food like burgers or pizza. I am also a fan of other cultures foods.
At my school there is the choice of hot lunch, or bringing your own. I do not know what is for hot lunch because I have never gotten. I normally get sandwiches or taquitos for lunch.
tf
sorry accidental
Hello,
At my elementary, they sold the same thing, but made it too healthy. The food looked fine. For example, the pizza they sold looks delicious, but when you bite into the crust, it doesn’t taste very well. I found a nut in my crust once and I asked why. They, the cafeteria ladies, said “You kids need to eat healthier. Nuts are good for you.” After that, I never at school lunch at my elementary school.
Sincerely,
Danielle
Hi The inside scoop,
I live in Australia but eat international foods such as, Sushi, Fried Rice, Sandwiches a salads. I usually drink water. I found your post very interesting.
At our school, there are different things every day and you get to choose one of those or pack . But, our school doesn’t have good food. 🙁 We usually pack our lunch at home.
Hi DND Second Graders,
My name is Yasmeen and I am from Shirley’s 6th grade at Poughkeepsie Day School. I enjoyed reading about your lunches, in some ways our schools have the same lunch options or don’t. Something that we don’t have in common with our lunches is that we are not allowed to go home and eat; we either bring in lunch from home and sit in our cafeteria and eat it or we buy lunch.
Like your school we have Taco Tuesday but not all the time. We have soups, salad bar, salads made by the cafeteria, hummus with veggies, grapes with cheese and crackers which are available everyday, or you can get our hot lunch which is made in our cafeteria by our chef Tom.
Our school also provides a breakfast for kids who have to get up early and go to school right away, and on Friday our school has pizza available to students and sometimes ice cream. Like you we have drinks but we have some differences. We have chocolate milk and white milk as well, we have cranberry juice which most students really enjoy, apple juice, pineapple peach and mango juice, orange juice, and seltzer. For high school they have all the options I just listed but also have the choices of gatorade, and iced tea. Most students really enjoy when Tom makes pasta. Hope you write back soon and check out my blog http://shirleys6th.edublogs.org/category/yasmeen/.
Happy Blogging,
Yasmeen
Hello! I am Eden from a 6th grade class. I enjoyed reading your blog about lunches. It was fun to read and I loved the picture visuals. It was cool to learn about how you do things differently than us and what you eat. For example here we aren’t allowed to go home to eat lunch, not at any age, but I also think it’s cool that you eat some of the same stuff as us! We both eat pizza, tacos, and sandwiches. Thanks for posting because I learned some cool new things! If you want to check out my blog here’s the link!

At my school in Texas, USA we have a choice of two hot lunches or a salad. Along with fruit, sides, and a drink (milk, apple/orange juice , water ) . However, I usually bring my lunch from home everyday.
Hello I’m Abby and I am from Texas. At my school we are able to bring our lunch from home or eat in the cafeteria which is either a hot lunch or a salad. I usually bring my lunch from home which is either a sandwich or leftovers. My cafeteria serves different types of hot food such as pizza, hamburgers, spaghetti, chicken strips, chicken nuggets, and corn dogs. With the hot food comes two or three sides of things such as fruits or vegetables. If you get a salad you can get a baked potato with it and toppings. I do not usually eat in the cafeteria, but if I were to I would get a salad.
Abby
I really liked your post, it was super interesting. I wish I had Taco Tuesdays at my school. At my school in the USA we can bring our own lunches, or buy them at school. We all have accounts and we scan our fingers to buys food. There is a soup bar, and a salad bar. You can also just get the lunch that they are serving that day. Every Friday they serve pizza! That is my favorite lunch. Sometimes we get pasta. One time we had potatoes with lots of toppings! And we have rice every so often.
here’s a link to my blog: http://shirleys6th.edublogs.org/author/cedar15/
At my school in Fort Dodge, Iowa, we have many selections of food each day. When you go to lunch, you can either bring your own lunch from home and put it in your lunchbox, or you can get the schools food. If you eat the schools food, you have a choice of eating the main course, or you can get a hamburger, salad, etc. I usually get the main course food or a salad, and then a milk. Sometimes I like to include a bag of chips with my meal too! If you eat a
salad, you have choices on what kind of salad you want (chicken, turkey, ham, etc).
Hi, I’m Tamara.
Very interesting and a nice post, really!
In my school we can bring from home, and have the option to receive lunch at school. In our school there are children who go to so-called ” room ” because their parents work all day, they are usually smaller children (7 to 10) and then at the school have 3 meals, which are similar to regular family meals. For a snack we usually have pastries from a bakery and you’re there and pizzas, pancakes …
Thank you!
Hi, I’m Tamara.
I am from Serbia, and in our schools there are three options: to carry lunch from home, to bring money to the ” big break ” buy snacks or to receive school meals.
For those who receive school meals there are usually a variety of pastries, pizzas, salads, hamburgers … Basically we have more options so that receive school breakfast is optional.
This was a very interesting post to read. I liked learning what other schools are like, especially other school lunches. I think that the recycling program that you have at your school is fantastic and very smart. I attend school in the U.S. and we have a variety of different things to choose from. There are always at least 2 meals to choose from each day, along with a variety of fruits and vegetables, and a choice of chocolate, strawberry, or white milk. Cookies, chips, and other drinks are also offered.
Hello,
At my school in California, students can bring their lunches to school or purchase a hot lunch. Typical lunches brought from home include sandwiches, pasta, and salads. Also, students bring several snacks with them such as fruit, pretzels, chips, and granola bars. Some popular hot lunches are a fried chicken sandwich, pizza, and occasionally Chinese food.
–Caroline–
Dear Kdrunkmiller,
This is a very interesting post about tacos on Tuesday. I like tacos too!
~Kyler
Cool! You did a survey of your whole school or just the people around you? We used to have salads but they got rid of them for some reason. Our lunches include Fried Chicken, Pizza, Meatballs, and many more!
Dear, kdruckmiller
I love taco’s and I also love Tuesdays. 🙂
Sincerely,
McCade
Seeing all these different lunches that students have in different countries all around the world or even if they are just in America is so interesting. At my school the school lunches are delicious and so much better than my elementary school. At my school we have Subway sandwiches, Pick Up Stix (yes it is spelled with an x at the end of sticks), We have orange or teriyaki chicken with rice or noodles with tater tots, Fresh Brothers Pizza, and we also have burgers and chicken sandwiches. The drinks are pretty good as well. My school has carbonated fruit flavored drinks, fruit punch, water, classic milk. All in All, I’m pretty satisfied with the lunches at my school.
-Jaden
Hi, Inside Scoops,
Names Jace, I go to a school in Hawaii, HMS to be exact. http://hmsela.edublogs.org You can check it out with that link. We have simple foods, like fried chicken and hot dogs, but we also have more Hawaii stuff like curry and chili. About 1/3 of our class brings home lunch, but school lunch isn’t that bad if you put enough ranch or ketchup on it. Anyway your lunch sounds awesome, wish we got tacos.
Adios, Jace
Here in Hawaii, we eat hamburgers, french fries, sloppy joes, a salad, fruit, and milk
Hi,
My school lunches are:
pizza
corndogs
hamburgers
pick-up-stix
milk
ice cream
chips
I live in Woodland Hills, California.
Sincerely,
Rachel Sands
Dear Inside Scoop,
At Hongwanji Mission School here in Hawaii we have similar lunches. We have sandwiches, pizza, and chicken ect. We also have chocolate milk, white milk, POG, and water.
Sincerely,
Katelyn
My school just has a simple lunch, like a ham sandwich, chocolate milk or white milk, and carrots on the side or apple sauce. We get different kinds of sandwiches, but their best lunch is their spaghetti or their curry. If you ordered lunch at our school, we all eat the same lunch. But everyday it changes.
At our school we have multiple lunchtime choices everyday! There are always hamburgers, sandwiches, pizza, and more made by the cafeteria. Also, there are always bags of chips, cookies, ice cream sandwiches, water, and milk. Throughout the week we get food from popular chains like Pizza Hut, Fresh Brothers, Subway, and many more places. Of course there are a billion more things I cannot think of because I do not buy lunch too often, but I covered the most popular foods and drinks.
Dear DND,
Your menu sounds very tasty and delicious. Here, our menu changes. My friends and I prefer some foods rather than others. I prefer the quesadilla and noodles over fried chicken and Kailua pork. You can also bring home lunch. Also the drinks are milk (chocolate and regular) and POG.
Sincerely,
Zach
Hi,
Great post! At my school, we have great school lunches, such as pizza and even cheeseburgers! We’re really lucky to have such great food, and there are also snacks you can buy as well. I don’t usually buy school lunches, but the food is really great!
Your fellow blogger,
David
Hi DND second graders,
I like your choices for hot lunch, cold lunch, and drinks. I usually bring food from home. I eat either a Subway sandwich with turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, and avocado, or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Sometimes, I also pack a treat, like a chocolate chip cookie. Yum!
-Jessica
What we had at HMS for lunch to day was fried chicken lunches are free to students because our parents pay at the start of the school year for lunches
Hello,
At my school they give an assortment of diffrent types of food like kalua pig or chicken. Our school lunches are delicious! For our drink it is white milk or chocolate milk, but sometimes it is POG! (Aka: Passion orange guava)
I live in Australia and not many schools in Australia provide lunch for us, instead we bring our food with us in a lunch box everyday.
I am pretty much always eating a cold lunch because by lunch time my hot lunch would have gotten cold.
At my school our parents can order online hot lunches for us to eat, and it comes in a basket at lunch. We have a variety of cold and hot meals we can order at school.
I usually just have a Vegemite sandwich for lunch with an apple. I have to make lunch myself the night before, so I can never be bothered getting anything extravagant to eat.

Hello!
My school is in Calabasas, CA. Usually I make my lunch for school. It often consists of something simple like a wrap and fruit, maybe chips. However, I will occasionally buy the Pick-Up-Sticks in my school’s cafeteria with a small side salad. The cafeteria food at my school is fairly nice. We are served things like Subway and, as I’ve mentioned , Pick-Up-Sticks. We also get Fresh Brothers Pizza and are offered a large selection of fruit and vegetables.
Sofia
Hello,
It’s so cool that your school has tacos for hot lunch! At my school, we have anything from Chinese food to pizza, but we’ve her had tacos! In my opinion, tacos are extremely delicious and I think it would be so cool to have tacos as a lunch options.
I also love the idea of biodegradable trays- I think its a great way to help the environment.
Thank you for sharing some interesting information about your school!
Hi,
At our school there is nk particular food for a particular day. But I will name a few: Chili Dog, pizza, chicken nuggets, and teriyaki sausage.
Sincerely, Teo
Hi ,
This really inspired me on what we are doing with our food and how we depose it. It is a really great representation of your school and how we can help the environment. I was wondering what you used for the lunch trays?-Kylie
Hello! At my school, i don’t usually eat cafeteria lunch, but some of my peers do. When they do, we usually have pizza, patties, etc. We have slushies when it gets hot during lunch. Sometimes my school gets fresh brothers which is an american food restaurant, and sometimes even subway!
At my school, we have a designated schedule of what we eat for lunch everyday. But, we don’t really know when our favorite lunches are.
Hello all!

Hey!
Your name is hmsroyce, right? And your website is https://hmsroyce.edublogs.org/, right?
Since I take home lunch then it is mostly what is left over.
I love lunch because it is my favorite period of the day! Where I live, my lunch as well as mostly everyone else’s is just a sandwhich with a choice of potato chips, goldfish, apples, grapes and more! I sit at a table with my greatest friends and just enjoy the time of the day where I can eat, talk, and relax.
-LivT
I like your post, and at my school they serve Subway, Pick Up Stixs, and lots of other foods that are all delicious and I enjoy eating during my lunchtimes.
This is how we eat lunch at my school in Canada. After recess, we grab our lunch bags from home and sit down at our desks . Some people join together in groups and play cards but I prefer not to. Instead I read my book while wolf down my cheese sandwich and slurp up my yogurt tube.
I’m from Canada, and we pack our own lunches and bring them to school. We can pack anything, as long as it doesn’t have nuts. If you don’t bring a lunch, you could get a lunch from the lunch lady. Sometimes we have pizza day or sub day ( a sub is a large sandwich). It saves you money, and it’s fun to pack your own lunch!
Hello,
At my school we just have a verity of different kinds of school lunches. We don’t get a choice unless we bring home lunch to school. But the best thing is we get chocolate milk
every other day!
Hi DND second graders,
At my school in OHIO we have different foods. We either bring food from home or order from cafeteria. We get food like, Mexican pizza, Hot dogs, General TSO’s, etc. I eat the cafe food every day and I’m still starving but it is good.
At my school, students bring their own lunches in brown paper bags or lunch pails, or they wait in the long lunch line to buy whatever is being served that day. We also have the choice to buy sweets like candy, slushies, cookies, various types of drinks, bagels, and much more to choose from. I, personally, like to bring my own lunch from school, so that I have different options to choose from everyday!
Noelle,
http://noellmurph9302.edublogs.org
At my school, we have pick up sticks, fresh brothers, chicken sandwiches, chips, milk, slushy’s, and many other drinks. My favorite drink is the blue or red slushy, they’re delicious. Also, I love the chicken sandwiches and the pick up sticks.
Hello! Thank you for the information on school lunches where you live. Here where I live in America school lunches are quite similar. In the cafeteria we are offered a variety of foods from pizza to Subway sandwiches. We are also offered Pick Up Stix chicken and rice, ice cream, grapes, salads, celery, and corn dogs. To drink we are offered water, chocolate milk, regular milk, juice, and other flavored beverages. Every day something new if offered!
Hi DND 2nd Graders,
First off, I love the idea of having a golden lunchbox! How creative and unique! At my school in the US, they provide us students with different options on different days. For example, on certain days, Pick Up Stix, an asian cuisine restaurant, is served while on others Fresh Brothers, a pizza restaurant, is served. However, many students bring their own lunch. They bring many different meals, from Mexican to Italian food. The US is extremely diverse, and this shows through lunches. Also, the snack shack is always open with the same options. The school just recently added miniature powdered doughnuts to the shack, and I am a huge fan! This shack also has slushies, juices, chips, gummy worms, and even rice krispy treats! Our school is also using special trash bins, such as one for liquids, food products, recyclables, and trash. Our cold lunches differ, however I can’t say I know them too well since I bring my own lunch.
-Lola
http://lcase4702.edublogs.org
Hello kdruckmiller,
I adore the idea of having so many different bins with specific labels because at my elementary school I had a system like that but it was a failure because it was confusing but it looks like with the specific labels on our trash cans it is clear what bin is for what. In addition I like the biodegradable lunch trays which look better than the cheap plastic ones at my school.
I really like your blog. At my school we eat a lot of different foods, not always pleasantly, but we do. We don’t really have the best food at our school and we don’t recycle, though we should. If you move to my school good luck during lunch time.
I live in Kansas and our school luck is ok. The chicken is really good. A lot of people get the milk.
At my school we only have Oj and milk and water to drink and we have great food though there is tons? This blog was really good though
Where I live we have a lot of different foods! The he most popular is probably chicken. Everybody usually gets milk or juice.
Hi! At my school, we have very different options of food. We have pizza, Chinese food, salads, burgers, and more. We have personal pizzas from a restaurant and so is the Chinese food. The burgers are either chicken or beef. There are various drinks and the students decide what they want. For other items, we have cookies and chips. Also, we have a snack bar where we can purchase freezes, Corn Nuts, brownies, cookies, chips, gummy worms, donuts, and more!
Hello, my name is Brendan465 and I think tacos are cool. I like this post because it is very detailed and it is very specific. I also like your creativeness.
My blog is http://www.brendan465.edublogs.org
Hi Inside Scoop,
At my school we have a variety of foods from Pizza Hut, Fresh Brothers (pizza), chicken burgers, corn dogs, cookies, chips, sweet potato fries, drinks that are like fruity, and Pick Up Sticks (Chinese food). I guess I say my favorite thing at school would be the Fresh Brothers pizza. Check out my blog- jeremyblye.edublogs.org
Great post! At my school, Fresh Brothers pizza, Pick Up Stix, warm cookies, and “healthy slushies” are all the craze!
While I don’t eat the school lunches myself, a few of my friends do. There are several lunch options that vary each day from different restaurants where they serve things such as pizza or sandwiches.
Hello. At my school, they serve orange chicken, pizza, pasta, salad, vegetables, fruits, milk, and sandwiches. It rotates each day!
-Aidan
At my school, I do not eat the lunch they serve in the cafeteria. Everyday, I bring my own lunch that always consists of salami on sourdough bread, goldfish, and grapes.
Hello, “Inside Scoop,”
it is so interesting that the students at this school have so many lunch choices! I think that it is really awesome that students can go home for lunch. I know that’s what I would do if I had the opportunity too!
Hello Inside Scoop,
Here in America, we have a wide variety of healthy and delicious lunch options at our
cafeteria! As you walk in, you can choose from Chinese food, hamburgers or chicken
sandwiches, salads, nachos, and pizza for our main meal. Then , there are cookies and
different types of deserts as a special treat, and specifically at our school, we are required to take a fruit for extra nutrition in our lunch! There is also a snack bar with many tasteful snacks from chips to slushies! So whenever I forget my lunch at home, I know I can count on the good school lunch!
At my school we have a huge variation of food everyday. The food there is really deliciuos and comes from different restaurants. There is Pizza which comes from Fresh Brother Pizza in a little box. Then we have Subway sandwich which if you didn’t know are just sub sandwiches. Then we have hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, salads and one of the favorites, orange chicken and rice. Another great part of lunch is the different drinks. they vary from juices, to chocolate milk to even slushies. Lunch at my school can be both healthy and unhealthy and it always makes you want to come back the next day.
At my school in the United States, for lunch, some students either bring food from their home or order the hot, delicious food from the cafeteria. For the school lunches, there is pizza, Chinese food, salads, and so much more. Even though I bring food from home, I do occasionally order addition snacks from the cafeteria. For example, the slushies are extremely popular, and are what people usually order, and they also have chips for a side snack. All in all, the food provided by my school is amazing and I am grateful for it.
At my school in California, they bring in cheep lunches or lunches from popular chains near our area. We have a plethora of choices in drinks from a soda called Switch, to water bottles and milk cartoons. As for our lunches, the food varies depending on the day. Some days we have a box of Fresh Brothers pizza, chicken and rice from either Pick Up Stix or a restaurant I do not know the name of. Other days there are subway sandwiches with turkey or tuna and lettuce and tomatoes. Most of the time, if you don’t want the brand name foods, there are slices of pizza, salads with chicken tenders, tater tots, chicken and beef burgers, and an assortment of snacks. We have cookies, popcorn, and chips to choose from. If your lunch costs $3.50, you are insisted on taking a fruit or vegetable with your meal. We have celery, carrots, apples, oranges, and tomatoes.
I have middle school lunch for the five days I go to school a week. I am a picky eater and don’t like most of the school lunches. But I do love the salad, after I take off the chicken and tomatoes. I also like their pg&j ‘s , I eat those on and off everyday. I sometimes eat the chick nuggets but other than that that’s all I like. But it’s school so I have to live with it!
Visit my blog, http://kara180.edublogs.org
At our school we don’t have taco Tuesday but we do have nachos on Wednesday.😋😋😁
Hi my name is Andrew. I am from America. I like the idea that kids can go home to eat. We don’t have that option at our school. We have nacho Wednesday like you guys have taco Tuesday. Please comment back to me on my blog
http://drew802.edublogs.org
At my school we get three choices, two main meals and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. We also get three drink choices, water and carbonated juice (which you have to pay for) and milk. Also we can buy side items like cupcakes and Doritos as well as other things.
Good Job
I like how you compared what people liked the most for lunch. I agree with what they say for everything besides the drinks because I do not like milk, but that is just me. You were very informitive and I liked how you use biodegradable trays because it is good for the enviroment. Keep up the good writing!

What I eat for lunch at school is:
Cheese sticks
Bread(like sandwich)
Korean sausage
Noodles
Sometimes I get Tuck shop.
At our school I eat home lunch
I don’t know anything about vegemite but I think I saw a challenge to eat tons of vegemite and I looked like it didn’t taste good, but I might be wrong because I’m not sure it was vegemite.
I’m nine years old, from the USA, Pennsylvania. Here are the choices I eat at school that I like, Max sticks, Chicken (Any kind), Thanksgiving meal, Sloppy Joe, Yogurt Parfait, Taco (Any kind), Ham and Cheese on pretzel roll, French Toast, I can’t remember any else but at least I got some. Check out my blog at: https://lucycentral.edublogs.org/
Hi DND second graders!
My name is Natalie and I’m in 8th grade at Cactus Canyon Junior High in a small town in Arizona. I loved reading about Taco Tuesday and the school lunches you guys usually have or bring from home. At my school we can have a cheeseburger/hamburger, chicken nuggets, a sub, regular hot lunch, or go to a line where we can buy lunch. In that line we can get stuff like pizza, pretzels, chips, ice cream, soda, and cookies! Keep writing these stories because they’re awesome!
My 8th grade Journalism class also has a blog called the Cougar News Blog. We write stories about activities and cool things going on around school and we would love it if you could check it out! We are very proud of it.
The link is cougarnewsblog.com.
Thank you!

Thursday is pasta. Friday, I don’t know, I bring cold lunch most of the times but I do have hot lunch on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We are not allowed to bring any nuts to school because we are nut-free.

Hi. I go to “Good Shepard Catholic School” in Ontario, Canada . I always bring a cold five item lunch for the day. I take three healthy foods and two unhealthy foods. I usually bring a yogurt, a cheese string , raspberries, cheese flavored corn chips, and a fruit by the foot.
That is very interesting on what those kids brought to school it is almost the same as what the kids in my school bring to lunch.
Hi,
I wish my school lunches were that good. Its not the lunch ladies but Michelle Obama, the First Lady, made us go on healthy food choices. With all the regulations its hard to find something good to eat. This makes kids brings less healthier food in the lunch boxes and doesn’t help the health of students whatsoever. I also wish we were able to go home for lunch. I live so close to my school so I wish I could walk home or to the nearest restraint.
Hello,
I am Anna and I am 11 years old. At my school, we have a thing called lunch box orders where you can order food from places like Boston Pizza, Swiss Chalet, and the Shed, to be delivered hot from the oven/ frying pan / pot. Also, on Friday there is pizza, which is not lunch box orders. You can order chocolate milk or white milk every day or just on Fridays. I sometimes get lunch box orders, I get chocolate milk on Fridays only and I get one slice of cheese pizza on Fridays.
We don’t have the option to go home for lunch, which is too bad. It would be cool to go home for lunch every day.
Please visit my blog at: https://anna1111.edublogs.org/
Thanks!
From,
Anna 🙂

Hello! I’m Sarah. I live in Canada . At our school, everyone is to bring in their own lunch from home. We have 2 breaks; one in the morning at 11:45 and one in the afternoon at 2:05. Therefore, we pack our lunch with things like sandwiches or other foods for a “main course.” We also pack snacks for the next break to eat if we are still hungry. Every week on every Thursday, we have pizza day. At the beginning of every month, we get a form to fill out with the amount of pizza we want or if we want it in general. The pizza is delivered from a local restaurant to our school, and then to each classroom. Once a month, on the last Wednesday of the month, we have the option of getting a Subway sub topped with ingredients of our choice.
Hey, I’ve never been to a school who has a lunch that is served at school, on a daily basis. At our school, which is in Canada, we have to bring our own lunches in , mostly every day, where we eat them in our classroom. Once a week we have pizza delivered to our school, and we have an option to purchase a slice or two. Every now and then, we might have grilled cheese or nacho’s. It was very interesting learning what foods your school offers, keep up the good work!
-Brent
Hello! It sounds very interesting how you have your lunches. I live in Canada, and at my school we always bring our own lunch, but we also have something called the snack program. The snack program is healthy food that our school supplies for kids who may not have snacks at home. The snack program consists of healthy fruits and vegetables, crackers, trail mix, and juice. A lot of children at my school use the snack program, there for it is very helpful. We also have food days which is when we get pizza that comes every Thursday, and subs that we get the last Wednesday of the month. We order these things using food orders that we bring home for our parents to fill out. At my school we also have holiday meals. Since I go to a catholic school we celebrate catholic holidays, we do this by having parent volunteers who come to prepare food for us. We all gather in our gym where there are tables set up, and we all eat mashed potatoes, corn, carrots, ham, and much more. I can tell you much more to. Feel free on visiting my blog where I will soon be posting all about our school lunches. (http://chelsea110gst.edublogs.org/) Happy Blogging!

Hi,
I’m from New Zealand and at my school if kids are bringing food from home, they generally bring fruit, sandwiches, chips, biscuits, and sometimes baking. The other option is to bring some money to buy your lunch. At the canteen, you can purchase pies, popcorn, hot chips, confectionary, ice-blocks, slushies, drinks, hot dogs, hash browns and more. Hash browns and ice-blocks are the most popular, I’m pretty sure.

We have two lunches and we just stay in our classroom while eating. I normally have a sandwich, Goldfish, a juice box, and granola bars. All the time around Christmas we have a ham dinner with mashed potatoes, corn, and beans. It is always so good! Also on Shrove Tuesday or Fat Tuesday, volunteers make pancakes and ham. I hope that you will check out my blog and I really enjoyed this post!
Hi i live in Canada Ontario and we eat sandwich and stuff like beef jerky and all kinds of different meat.
Hello kdruckmiller,
I am a Student in the Student Blogging Challenge and I would like to say I think you did an exceptional job on your post. In our schools we have sub day once a month and pizza day every Thursday. I live in Canada Ontario. Our school does not have a cafeteria BUT we do sell while and chocolate milk. Every day we bring our own lunches to school. We are not allowed any peanuts at all! This doesn’t really matter to me because I have a sister who is allergic to peanuts. Well that is just about it we don’t have alot of time to eat so it is pretty quiet. Thanks for taking the time to read my comment.
Ethan
Hello,
My favorite food for school lunch is a turkey and lettuce sandwich. I go to a school in Oregon. Some of the hot lunch foods here are pizza, pretzel, deli sandwich, and many others.

At my school usually when there is soft pretzels, at my school we always want to get a jist of that! Also once a month we get these sherbet cups the are either strawberry, orange, or lime flavored. Hi I’m Scott. At my school we have a different lunch everyday for hot lunch, but every week is the same. I only know hot lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday because I only get it on Tuesday and Wednesday. Today was Thursday so I saw what it was. On Tuesday it’s burrito day, on Wednesday it’s pizza and on Thursday it’s pasta.
Hi ‘The Inside Scoop’!
I live in Hamilton, which is in New Zealand. The school I currently go to is Berkley Normal Middle school. Over here, we either pack our own lunches, or we buy our lunches from the canteen. The canteen is owned by a lady named Rongo and she makes delicious lunches. It depends on what day it is, for example, on Monday, she makes fried rice only (I’m not sure because I don’t buy my lunches that often). Sometimes I buy my lunch, but most of the time, I pack my own lunch. I normally pack a sandwich with lettuce, ham, salami and mayonnaise. Mayonnaise is a thick, creamy dressing often used to put on sandwiches. toasts and many other things. I also pack a drink bottle with water in it, but I know a friend that packs a carton of milk in her lunch every day. I’m quite sure that we are not allowed to pack soft drinks in our lunches, but juices are okay.

Hi! I’m VB! In Colorado, in my middle school we have pizza every other day, which is delicous! Also, there are many choices in my school, which gives us a variety. I usually bring a cold lunch to school, but it is just as good! Also, in my cafeteria there are posters of events, a TV showing slides of rules and different clubs/events, pictures of butterflies every where, and lots of places to sit. Going to lunch is super fun at my school! Here is the web address for my blog.
vbelablog.blogspot.com
At my school in California, we can bring in lunch from home, or get hot lunch at school. For hot lunch we have pizza, chicken, pasta, sandwiches or tacos usually. We have to bring reusable containers for hot lunch from home because using disposable plates is wasteful, and we can’t use reusable plates that belong to the school because there would be no place to wash them. That’s because we don’t have a cafeteria. We have water and maybe milk (I don’t pay attention to whether we have milk or not because I can’t drink it.)
Hi “inside scoop”,
My name is Tia and this is a very interesting post. I am from Ontario Canada. I go to a very small catholic school. There is not many student but we still have special lunch days. Just last week we had a grilled cheese day and normally we have pizza day every Thursday and a sub day once a month. We also had a nacho day too and a pancake day. But the pancake day was holiday we celebrate every year called Shrove Tuesday. I did not know that you could bring peanut butter to school where you are from. Because of peanut allergies we are not allowed to bring and product with peanut butter in or containing it. Well that is it for our special lunch days unless I forgot one. Good job on your post. Bye.
HI, at my school we usually have good breakfeast and lunch we have a couple choices and we usually get a good portion of it.
Dear inside scoop,
In America I there are many types of food that we eat for lunch, but I think that the most common would be hamburgers, pizza, cheesy breadsticks, and corn dogs for hot lunch. For cold lunch it would be sandwiches and different kinds of fruits and veggies. Here is the link to my blog

That is so cool! In my school we bring our own packed lunch. Everyone usually brings a sand which but others may bring something else.
Hi Taco Tuesdays
Every week on today we have pizza but on all the other days of the week our lunches vary, some of the lunches include tosco stick (bread sticks with melted cheese) and marinara on the side, another lunch is pop corn chicken which is little chicken nuggets with mashed potatoes. The way are lunch system works is there are two options ( some times three) and you order in the morning then when it is time for lunch (all grades get there own lunch time) you go in and pick a drink ( the options and Chocolate milk, regular milk or water then you stand in line and then grab the trays which already have the food on them then you go to the salad bar which normally has some type of veggie and also some type of fruit, then you type in you’r lunch number (every student has there own lunch number) then every now and then there are some type of desert you can buy.

Hi,
I am 12 years old, year 8 and I live in New Zealand.
for lunch, most of the students at my school bring their own lunch from home. We have a small canteen in which you can order your lunch and also buy snacks throughout the breaks.
You can buy the stocked items like pies and hash browns- a winter morning favorite or you can order the daily special that gives you the meal with a drink and fruit.
These deals are awesome however i make my lunch and bring it from home. On random occasions I enjoy ice block or share a hash brown with my friends from the canteen.

I’m 12 years old (turning 13!), and I live in New Zealand. For my school lunch, I either have leftovers from dinner, or I get rolls, bagels and croissants filled with salad, chicken or ham. I also get fruit and and sometimes treats in my lunch as well. At the end of the term as a treat for us year 7 and 8’s, we get to walk round the local shops and buy our lunch! I really appreciate how lucky I am to get school lunches.

Hi, I’m Reese
I am 12 years old from New Zealand and in my lunch I usually have a bun with all sorts of ingredients. I also have a muesli bar and some type of fruit. Normally I will take a packet of chips and raisins as well. At our school we have a canteen which we can take money to school to bye food or order it so it’s ready for lunch time we can get this any day of the week! This is my blog url if you want to check it out: http://reesebnms.blogspot.co.nz Thanks…
Dear Taco Tuesday,
I live in the US, at my school the most favored lunch is probably pizza. I normally bring my own lunch, because the lunch line takes to long. Going home for lunch is not an option at my school, or I would definitely do it. We are however allowed to play outside on the playground after we are done eating.
Sincerely ,
Lily

Hi Inside scoop,
My name is Riley and I am from Australia , my lunches usually consist of sandwiches with Vegemite and cheese or ham, cheese and lettuce, I would have peanut butter but we have a lot of people allergic to it so we are not allowed. Your lunches sound very interesting though they sound delicious.

Hello “The Inside Scoop”
I’m Ashling and I am from Australia. I find it really interesting when we can learn about other people from across the world and how they live. My school lets us bring our recess and lunch to school from home. We used to participate in a Wrapper free Wednesday and we would have no wrappers in our lunchboxes what so ever. Normally I have a muesli bar and a sandwich with cucumber, ham and cheese.I also have fruit always. I love my fruit. What do you guys normally have for lunch? Come and visit my blog at http://ashlingo.global2.vic.edu.au/
Ashling 🙂
Hey,
My name is Bridie and I live in Melbourne, Australia. At our school everyone has to bring their lunch from home except for Friday. Friday is lunch order day and we can choose to buy our lunch, bring our own lunch or buy a packet of chips or ice cream. This is yummy and I always look forward to Friday. When I bring my lunch from home I usually have a sandwich, a roll or hot food like pasta or soup that we had for dinner the night before.

Hello Inside Scoop
I really enjoyed reading your post and all of the facts that you put in there. I liked how you said what you normally have in your lunchboxes. My school in Australia have to provide our own lunches for recess and lunch. I normally have a container of fruit, some yogurt, a muesli bar, crackers and hummus and a sandwich.
What do you normally have for lunch?
Ashling
